Technical Inside Sales Person (Posted 3/26/08)

Mission of the Role:

This position is a new position in WooshCom’s business growth and expansion strategy. Penetration of our current product solutions within the cable industry provides the foundation for new product development and market leadership within the industry. The mission for the Technical Inside Sales Person is use the telephone to initiate and maintain relationships with Cable TV headend technicians and engineers thereby achieving sales results.

Key Accountabilities:

·       Sell WooshCom technology products and solutions to existing and potential customers within the cable television industry achieving agreed operating targets

·       Maintain relationships with technical customer personnel

·       Evaluate and modify sales tactics to implement sales strategy

·       Implement a defined, documented selling process utilizing a consultative, customer-focused, solution selling approach supported by activity and results tracking

·       Build and maintain customer and prospect databases

·       Collaborate and build trust-based relationships with the staff

Key/Unique Skills:

Must haves:

·         Relational – must be naturally relational and conversationally engaging

·         Technically inclined with the ability to comprehend and learn technology

·         Ability to thrive in a small, boot-strap firm with limited resources wearing multiple hats

·         Highly motivated self-starter

·         Proven track record in creating & closing sales opportunities

·         3 to 7 years sales experience and performance

·         Proven consultative sales experience

·         Excellent verbal communication skills

·         Experience in establishing and developing account relationships with engineering and technology decision makers and influencers

 

Nice-to-haves:

·         Degree or diploma in technical discipline, preferably Electrical Engineering

·         Technical understanding of cable television operations

·         Experience selling to head-end, regional & corporate Cable TV system technologists
