Miniature ASI to DHEI Interface Adapter for MPEG Re-multiplexers

WooshCom’s MPA-1234 ASI to DHEI Interface Adapter enables DHEI inputs on non-modulator type devices like MPEG re-multiplexers to be immediately converted to ASI inputs at the DHEI port on the re-multiplexer without consuming precious rack space. The useful life of legacy re-multiplexers can thereby be extended with the benefits of the ASI interface type.

WooshCom's MPA-1234 is a cost reduced version of WooshCom's more full-featured MPA-1235 adapter. It may only be used to drive the DHEI input ports of non-modulation type devices like MPEG re-multiplexers such as Terayon's Cherry Picker, BigBand Networks' BMR, Motorola's TMX-2010, Cisco's RateMUX amongst others.

WooshCom's adapter enables operators to extend the useful life of their legacy MPEG re-multiplexers by enabling them to accept the signal from ASI output devices while reaping the benefits of the easy-to-work-with ASI interface. The MPA-1234's ASI Loop-thru connection permits an ASI output device to easily drive multiple DHEI ports on several re-multiplexers or other types of devices - a feat not easily accomplished using DHEI. This eliminates the need for external ASI splitters.
